Leadership

Loren Werner

Co-founder & CEO

Loren has been delivering customized analytical solutions in highly demanding environments for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience applying quantitative modeling, predictive analytics, process optimization, planning & scheduling, data mining, and statistical analysis to solve real world problems across a wide range of industries.

Loren also serves as COO of Lumo, a cloud-based predictive analytics company focused on providing enhanced commercial flight data to all layers of the air travel ecosystem.

Prior to Lumo, Loren spent more than 10 years at boutique operations consulting firm Analytics Operations Engineering (acquired by McKinsey & Co in 2016) working with leading private equity firms and major corporations around the world to provide operational insights and enhancements through advanced quantitative analysis and modeling.

Loren holds an MS in Operations Research from MIT and a BS in Operations Research from the US Air Force Academy.

Bala Chandran

Co-founder

Bala has over two decades of experience building and deploying analytical models, from forecasting sales at a Fortune 100 CPG company to building a crew scheduling tool at an airline to optimizing inventory levels of server components at a global computer manufacturer. His expertise spans supply chain optimization, machine learning, and software development.

Previously, Bala co-founded Lumo, a predictive technology startup that uses machine learning to forecast flight delays to help the travel ecosystem manage disruptions.

Prior to Lumo, he worked with Loren at Analytics Operations Engineering (acquired by McKinsey & Co in 2016), an operations-focused consulting firm.

Bala holds a PhD in Operations Research from Berkeley and an MS in Transportation and Logistics from the University of Maryland.
